Research and Markets' forecast on European 3D printing industry is out!

Research and Markets have released their report of market study of 3D printing in Europe and forecast till 2022. The report named Europe 3D Printing Market (2016-2022) is prepared by Research and Markets, one of the world's largest and most recognized firms for their market research whose clients are of the likes of HP, DuPont, Philips, etc.The report states that the benefits of 3D printing have made automakers and other manufacturers to incorporate 3D printing into their manufacturing methods and that the European 3D printing industry in Europe is driven by the R&D developments in the field of advanced medical care and equipments and by the growing demand for lightweight and durable automotive parts. An excerpt from the report reads:

Products, materials and services are the major components considered while analyzing the European 3D printing industry. The Europe 3D printing material market is further divided into different material types including polymer, metal & alloy, metal & alloy and others.

While polymer segment overshadowed other 3D printing materials in 2014; electron beam melting, stereolithography, selective laser sintering, fused deposition modeling made up for most of the technologies that seemed predominant in Europe. Applications that proved to be remarkable include functional Parts, education/research, metal casting, visual aids, prototype tooling, fit and assembly and presentation modeling, The report shows that 3D printing found extensive use in aerospace & defense, consumer goods, manufacturing , automotive, verticals, etc. The study is based on market analyses of UK, France, Germany, Russia, Italy, Spain and rest of the European countries. While Germany saw the greatest revenue income among the countries, Italy showed the fastest growth rate.
